Welcome to the Broad Oak & Horam Under8's Coaches blog for 2009/2010.Hi everyone - players, parents and visitors - and welcome to our page. This is a great Club, with superb support, a fantastic atmosphere and with a large group of enthusiastic players of all ages and abilities keen to participate in our Beautiful Game.
Our Under8’s squad is modest in size but our turnstiles are always open for new players. Come along on a Saturday morning and check us out. So enjoy our website, we hope you find the information you seek. We will use this blog page as our primary source of communicating live up-to-date Under8’s information on training and match day arrangements, bad weather updates and cancellations and also the odd rallying call for help (e.g. in our Club shop burning bacon or fundraising etc).We have all moved up a year and this season will see us play more football with more League fixtures. We are again fielding two equal ability teams for the League - Tornadoes and Spitfires. We will have the same training arrangements as last year with our default training at Horam, 10:00 – 11:30hrs on a Saturday. As the weather turns for winter and Horam becomes unplayable, we will advise through this blog of alternative training venues.Throughout the year we have our own regular flagship events to look forward to, namely, our Christmas 10 Pin bowling party, the Managers Match, our much envied World Cup Day, Presentation Evening and our BO&H JFC Tournament. To finish off the season we have the ultimate of football Tournaments – The FIFA 2010 World Cup Finals in South Africa. Good luck to all our home nations in qualification – one things for sure – its gonna be emotional! So come on, play up, play fair but above all . . . . . . enjoy your football.
