Welcome to the Broad Oak & Horam Thunder Under13's site for 2009/2010 SeasonThis season we embark on a new challenge, as we enter the Rother League for the first time.We hope to build upon the progress achieved last season, to make this our most successful season to date. As well as winning we believe that it is equally important that everyone continues to conduct themselves in the correct manner and shows respect to both the opposition and the match officials, regardless of the result. We are extremely grateful to the generous support we receive from our sponsors Custom Build Ltd, Broad Oak Tree Consultants Ltd and C.I Products. They have enabled us to provide each player with a fantastic new playing kit, Jacket and kit bag.The support of parents at matches is very much appreciated and the boys certainly respond to your encouragement from the touchline.Training commences in mid August at the Tower Recreation Ground and will then transfer to the floodlit all weather pitch at Hailsham for the winter months, before reverting back to Heathfield in the spring. Exact times and dates will be confirmed by e-mail in due course.Whilst we appreciate that there will be occasions when players cannot make training, it is important that they attend whenever possible and arrive 10 minutes prior to the schedule start, so that they are ready to start the session promptly. These sessions are not only about fitness, but also provide an opportunity for us to improve players technically and to work on team play for upcoming matches.Best wishes to all the team for the coming season and remember the most important thing is to enjoy your football, as that is the reason why you are playing.
