Welcome to the Broad Oak & Horam Spartans site for 2011/2012This coming season will again see the “Spartans” competing for honours in Division 1 of the Sussex Sunday Youth League having finished in 2nd position last season in the regional leagues. Having trails for the first time we have selected a squad full of talent and we look forward to growing and developing new skills in order to compete at the highest level. In addition to matches each Sunday; the squad trains every Thursday evening at Tower Req and under lights on the all weather surface at either Heathfield Community College or Hailsham during the winter months. The training is primarily focussed on continually developing the passing and fluid style of play that the squad aspires to play whilst also building fitness levels, enhancing individual skills and increasing tactical awareness and understanding both on an individual and team level. With pre-season training already commenced in early August, our season proper starts on 11th September with a league opener away to Saltdean United. Finally and by no means least I would like to express mine and the teams gratitude to our Three sponsors, Stiles Harold Williams Independent Property Advisors , HOBSON PRIOR and Intersport of Leweswho have funded the team’s match kit , Training outers and training kit for all the squad.
