Welcome everyone to a new Season at Broad Oak & Horam JFC for the 2001/02 born footballers of the future. It's great to see so many returning from the Under8's after the summer break. It's also fantastic to see new faces as well, we hope your enjoy your football with us. Alas, we have lost a couple of players, Alice & Lara, who have migrated to the Girls squad but I'm sure you'll join me and the other coaches in wishing them every success and fun with Steve and his crew.
Right then, some updates to see us through the next couple of Saturdays:
Sat 11th Sept - Training at Horam Rec. Please note that the Girls Team have a League fixture and will be using the pitch we usually use for training. We're not sure for certain where we will be training, but most likely through the trees on the bottom field. Please look out for any stragglers you may bump into and point them in the right direction. End of the session - if a strong Dad (or Mum) could lend a hand at the end to help put the new one piece goals away, that would be great. Thanks.
Sat 18th Sept - League Match. Both teams (Spitfires & Tornadoes) are at away at Ringmer Rovers. Details and team selection to follow soonest but please note that only Registered players are able to play in League games. Just to remind everyone, that we are reverting back to player rotation to ensure fairness and maximise pitch time for all. Non-Registered players are more than welcome to come along and watch, however we will advise on any alternative arrangements for Non-registered/New players soonest (e.g. training sessions at Horam rec).
Midweek training. We are looking into arranging this but we have a few resource issues to sort and will update you as soon as we have more concrete plans.
