24 June 10 - 15:05Here comes the Sun . . . . do do dodo
Last weekend's Ringmer Tournament was a tough gig man. The Red & Blue's were up against some good well drilled teams but I think we held our own. Ten games, one win and a hatful of Nil-Nils, we were the nearly men. You all played very well on what turned out to be quite a hot afternoon. Hey, if England can progress on a few draws, we certainly can. Well done.
Jason Bungee Jump Sat 26th June. Jason is rather bravely doing a 300ft bungee jump to raise funds for the pitch drainage scheme. We are sure we don’t need to remind you how badly we need this drainage to be done and we are only a few thousand short of raising the money we need, so any contributions you can make will be gratefully appreciated. We have recently been officially awarded Community Amateur Sports Club status which entitles us to be listed on Just Giving, although they haven’t listed us yet, so can you please email Jason (jason.wilton@virgin.net) or Ali (ali.wilton@virgin.net) your pledges instead. Alternatively you can just give Jason or Ali the cash or a cheque made payable to Broad Oak & Horam JFC or David or Naomi if you see them. Jason hopes to video the jump and show it at the Presentation Evening. Many thanks.
Last meet-up. This Saturday 26th June @10:00hrs, Horam. (aka Bring-a-Parent Day). Come along for a chill out session and a campaign prize !!!
Presentation Evening. Thursday 8th July. We will have a last call for tickets this Saturday.

Venue: Ringmer Community College, Lewes Road, Ringmer, BN8 5RB.
Start: Please arrive at the ground by 13:30hrs for warm-up and Registration. First game kick off: 14:00hrs.

Training. There will be no training this Saturday in lieu of the Tournament the following day. Our last meet-up however will be a fun training session next Saturday 26th June. We had hope to use X-in-Hand pool but unfortunately it clashes with the Carnival (time and location), therefore 10:00hrs as usual at the Club/ Horam Rec. Please bring a parent. Parents please wear sensible footwear for running. NB - a doctors note will not be a suitable excuse for just watching !!!
Play fair, shake hands and have fun. . . . . oh and keep going England, you can do it !!

Notes on Tournaments: It will not be possible for players to play all tournaments. Please review the list above and email David asap with those dates that you cannot or do not wish to play. We will then select squads on availability/rotation. Invariably tournaments replicate a world cup format with a group round-robin stage followed by top two play-offs and final. They are longer in duration than a league fixture or training sessions. An entry fee per player will be levied and there my be a parking fee. Oh . . . and they are lot of fun with medals and trophy's !!!

19 March 10 - 14:57Capello seen training at Horam . . .
Hi All,
Saturday 20th March - Training and Kit Exchange - Training 10-11:30, unplayable boggy conditions permitting !! For those players who want a bigger kit (or simply a 'newer' strip) please bring the "A1 Scaffolding" top and shorts (washed) along and you can have an ex-Under9's "Bertie Adams".
We would like to take this opportunity to thank the current U10's management team and "A1 Scaffolding" for their kind assistance in kitting us out from Under 7's until now. Equally, we would like to thank Sean Stidder of the current Under11's and the family of Bertie Adams in enabling our players a little growing room as we approach Under9's. We will continue to pursue a sponsor for 2010/11 season start - any suggestions gratefully received.
Please note strips are property of BO&H JFC. We need the old in to let the new out !! We will collate all the "A1 Scaffolding" strip and make it available for the new crop of Under 7's (2010 - 2011).
Match Day 9 reports (v Hailsham, v Ratton Rangers) - Will be posted here > > > > > > when compiled. Well done to everyone. Played 6, W2, D2, L2. From ALL accounts there was some really good football on show. Details of next match tbc.
Soggy unplayable winter pitch appeal - We need your help. We are desperate, as a Club, to secure funding for our pitch drainage scheme. The Club have secured quite a lot in funding already but we still have a shortfall, which if we don't raise, we may lose that already pledged. Please click here for a letter from Sarah (Club Chair) for some background on the situation and a call-2-arms. Any ideas for Under8 fundraising are most welcome. Letter: > > > > > >
Drawings: > > > > > >
FA Level 1 training - Good luck to Matt Cox who is taking his 'badge' over the next two weekends. We look forward to see your new drills on 3rd April Matt !!
. . . . oh, and finally - The England Manager, Fabio Capello, was spotted at Horam a couple of weeks ago testing out our soggy unplayable pitches. If he and the FA had any doubts about our resolve to sort out the drainage, they have been reassured ! Click here for BOJFC paparazzi photo > > > > > >
ps - David Beckham, get well soon!

11 March 10 - 14:13* * Team Update * *
Details for this weekend games (Sat 11 March) are as the post below. Teamsheet has now been updated and attached to the link.
We have had to tweak the teams for a number of reasons but again we have tried to balance the teams to equal ability and have not tried to make any one stronger than another. We are now down to one-sub for two of the teams and we would again urge MAXIMUM attendance please so that we fulfill the fixtures and don't let our opponents down.
Please note the new team members and at what ground your child will be playing. Principal changes are to Eric, James B, Max and William. Please bear with us in this interim period as we may well need to shuffle things again shortly prior to us entering tournament season.
Thank you for your understanding. Have fun and enjoy your fútbol

25 February 10 - 16:57Play on, March is coming . . .
Dear Fan Club,
Training this Saturday (26th Feb) - As the weather is wet, damp, soggy and precipitous . . . .oh and its still raining, Horam pitches are going to be out of action. So for the last time this season (?), we're are down at the all-weather astro pitch in Eastbourne !
Eastbourne Sports Park (10:15 - 11:45hrs ish, BN21 2UF) near Sainsbury's and the 10Pin bowling. It may be windy & chilly, so all wrap warm and players please wear trainers (no studs please) or astro boots (if you have them), shin pads and trackie trousers (as the sand can be quite rough) and bring fluids. Please note that there are limited refreshments available - hot & cold drinks, choc & crisps from a machine in reception. http://www.eastbourne.gov.uk/leisure/sport/council/sports-park/get-there/ The Club does require a nominal £1 per child to help meet the booking fee - please look out for the Mum coordinating the collection - no 2 pence pieces please !!!.
Coaching assistance this Saturday - Both Matt and myself are unavialable this weekend so any parents that can assist Jason would be very much apreciated.
Regards, David
