01 June 11 - 21:10Training cancelled for this week

I am sorry to disappoint but due to work commitments I will not be able to take training tomorrow and given the number of people away I have taken the decision to cancel training tomorrow.

We will of course train next Thursday ready for our next tournament.

If you have not already done so then please let me know as soon as possible if your son can play in our tournament on the Saturday 11 June for an afternoon kick off.

Sorry

31 May 11 - 13:21Training and Presentation evening.

Hi all

This week we are back at Sheepsetting lane 1800 until 1930.

Presentation Evening is at Kingschurch Eastbourne again this year 1930 hrs unitl 2100 hrs on Friday 1 July tickets will be available as last year for the parents. I will let you know when they are available and I would like very member from this years squad to take part.

I also need to know if you could please email me who your son thinks should be players player of the year> I would advise them that is the person who they think has played the best this year and not just because they are there best mate.

I also need to know who is available for our tournament on 11 June even if you have already told me please confirm as I would like to have this team sorted by this weekend. Anyone advising later than this may not get in the team.

Thanks
Graham

22 May 11 - 21:19Re the Uckfield tournament

Firstly thank you to everyone who came to watch the managers match on Friday I am so sorry I did not speak to you but I was a little tied up. For those who don't already know the result the 11 a side mangers beat the under 11 managers and coaches 1 - 0 in a very tight hard fought and bruising game.

Secondly a thank you to all who participated and watched the world cup day which once again was a success. I hope your sons enjoyed themselves as it is a little bit of end of season fun and watching some of the football played it was really quite enjoyable.

Unfortunately I have to bring to you attention the fact that at training we are having a few problems which include a general lack of respect for myself. I spend an awful lot of time running the team and I know it is probably an age thing but the lack of respect from some of the boys is terrible. I need to shout to get anything done properly and can no longer put up with any back chat or people walking off to talk to there mates who have just turned up. In future if there is anymore of this then those responsible will be banned from the rest of the training session and will have to sit on the sidelines.

It has also been pointed out to me that some players are having fun poked at them by others whilst training.Should you son be affected by this then they must tell me about it in training and I will deal with it there and then. At the end of the day they are a team and need to get along together and I will not stand for this kind of behaviour.

As you can imagine having to work with anywhere between 8 - 15 under 13's can at times be taxing and it is impossible for me on my own to see everything that goes on if anybody can spare any time to help it would be appreciated.

If they show respect to both myself and their fellow players then we can build a better more competitive team which is better for everyone it will also attract more players to the team and improve so we can be a force in the future.

Please make them aware of my comments and if there are any problems please do not hesitate to contact me.

Right now on to the tournament . This week it is an early one (boo hiss) but the next two are afternoons (hurah) please let me know who is available for Saturday as we can only have 8 players. Those who do not play this week will play in other tournaments so everyone gets a fair crack of the whip( Hmm maybe I should use one in training <img src='/blog/under14trojans/extensions/emoticons/trillian/e_01.gif' alt=':-)' align='middle'/>).

Any way we need to be at Uckfield School (next to Freedom Leisure via Downs View Crescent) no later than  8.20 on Saturday to register by 8.30 for a 9 am KO. The postcode for the school is TN22 3DJ.If anyone needs.

The cost for this one is £4.00 per player.

When I know who's is available I will then work out a team . Please do not be disappointed if you son is not picked as I have said they will play in another tournament.

As you are aware I can not manage out team in our own tournament as I have a wedding to attend if anyone can run the team that day please let me know.

Please let me know as soon as possible about you son's availability

Thanks
Graham
