05 January 09 - 18:56RINGMER AWAY

This Sunday’s game against Ringmer is an 11.00am KO. Directions for the pitch are: Come down the Broyle straight from Halland and enter Ringmer village over min roundabout and passing Green Man Pub on right. College main entrance is on left a little further…but carry on past and take next left which is Harrisons Lane. Take next left which is Greater Paddock and sharp left again through a pair of large green metal gates. You have arrived. Be at the pitch no later than 10.15 please. Lets hope the weather is good to us and we get a game. Training: if you are behind with payments please get up to date. If you have any questions about fees give Trish or Jim Craft a call.

04 January 09 - 20:49GAME CANCELLED

Due to Tonbridge not being able to field a full team this weekend because of illness the game was sadly cancelled. We could have played the game at a later date but because we are quite a way behind in the fixtures we have been awarded the points and will not play this fixture in the future. I would have liked to have played the game personally but the weather has not been good to us lately and we are quite a way behind in games played. Next week we are away to Ringmer Rovers (details to follow) I do know it will be an 11.00am KO. See you all at training Thursday, Hailsham 6.00pm

28 December 08 - 22:57HAPPY NEW YEAR

I hope you all had a great Christmas. 2009 starts for us at home on Sunday 4th January. We play Tonbridge Juniors. I would like to get all available players together for a training session on Friday at 10.00am at Horam Rec. We need to make sure you’ve not but on any extra pounds and to get us playing a bit before we kick off on Sunday. If you can’t make the training or the match please let me know as soon as possible so I can get an idea of the team.

15 December 08 - 20:34TRAINING ETC

This Thursday’s training will be the last one before Christmas. We will keep you up to date on when the first session of the New Year starts. Check the league web site for next year’s fixtures I will be on the look out my self. The goal-keeping situation has not changed and as some one pointed out any good keepers are already playing with other clubs so I think the fairest way is a rota. Joe Dale played the last match and James M, is doing the next one then it will be Luke S then Josh. By having four players in the rota they will all get three games on pitch. If for any reason a player can not make the game he is due to play in goal it will go to the next player in line. The player that missed his turn will play the next available game. So in six games the keepers only go in goal twice. I think this is the fairest way for the whole team. If we get a good quality keeper then great.

09 December 08 - 19:54HELP

It was very obvious this week end that as a team we need a full time goalkeeper. Ask your mates at school, get them to training and lets sort this out for the benefit of the team. All the players we have that are prepared to go in goal for us are of more use to us on the pitch even though they do a great job in goal. Come on boys you must know some one.

08 December 08 - 22:28HOME TO ROBERTSBRIDGE

I don’t want to dwell on the negatives of what was a very frustrating Sunday morning. And again I want to say, “in a game we should have won” because that fact is we didn’t win and we cant keep saying “we should have won that game”. I will not put blame on any individual player because it’s a team game. And the sooner we all start behaving like a team the sooner we will win like a team. We are stronger as unit than we are as individuals and some of our players need to believe that. Your all-great lads and I look forward to training and matches every week. I strongly believe we are so much better than we have been. This may surprise you but we haven’t played any were near our best yet even with our win over Pembury. See you all at training.
