14 May 12 - 14:462012 World Cup Day - details
Hi All.
As you know, we have concluded our league fixtures. It’s been a long season with some memorable ups and downs through all kinds of weather. Now as a squad we start to re-organise for the new season . . . . . only after we complete tournament season!
First up, it’s World Cup Day this Saturday (19th May). Please find details below of the team selection for our age group. The draw was done after the U10 mixed matches at Tenterden and was carried out in accordance with FIFA rules. We have included all the available Under10s (boys and girls). Please familiarise yourself with the teamsheet for a heads up on who's playing for which country. Timings – we do not know exact timings yet for the day so these are all preliminary but are based on last year’s arrangements.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
WORLD CUP Day details: at Horam Rec, Saturday 19th May, extended morning.
Four Country Teams. Please note T-Shirt colour and parent coaches. Please arrive at the ground by 09:30hrs (tbc) for Registration.
Team Selection: Team news attached click here > > >
----------------------------------------------------------------------
General notes: please all have: country shirt colour, football boots, shin pads and water. PLEASE Do Not forget shin pads and water!! Face painting and silly wigs are optional.
Tournament tips for those that have not been before: They will occupy a full half day of mini-soccer football format. Short duration matches (15mins max) sometimes with no halftime. Local rules may apply e.g. goals kicks from touchline, no scoring from kick-off etc. Consider bringing, foldable chairs, pinic blanket, refreshments, sunblock, umbrella, camera (local rules may apply), coins for playing fee. They are big venues with lots and lots of pitches - upon arrival buy a programme and suss out which pitch Broad Oak U10's are based. Upon conclusion of round-robin stage, do not leave venue straightaway as medal ceremonies are often delayed and await conclusion of any final.
End of Season Diary: See blog post below. It's a packed schedule.
Have Fun !! Play fair, shake hands and applaud all play - including opponents. Have fun and enjoy your football. Regards

30 March 12 - 11:16Training, Dates and Congrats (*update* 20Apr)
Hi all.
*Saturday Training*: As of last Saturday (14th April), Saturday training has now finsihed. A massive thanks to Andy & Steve for all their hard work throughout the year. Please have a break for the mo until we start the events listed in the diary blog below (2th Nov). We will put on some training before then but will let you know asap.
*Little Kickers: We are hoping that B&H Albion will re-scheduled the cancelled 14th April event. Watch this space.
Little Kickers Report (24th March): Absolutely eye-blinkingly, mind-boggingly awesome guys. It was a tournament winning performance by all our players and you should all feel proud of yourselves. We won all our games, conceded no goals and most refreshingly of all - we scored in all games. Well done. Matchday stats: P4,D0, L0, F8, A0, GD+8, Points (if they were awarded) 12.
Myself and StevieB are Little Kicker Rookies and we did not appreciate the tournament format - e.g. no scores taken and no winners. However, in all our eyes, parents and coaches alike, you were standout winners and deserve to be congratulated and recognised. We missed not having some of our regular players (Daisy, Hannah and Arianne) but the remaining 7 did a fantastic job . . . and all the more remarkable given we had no subs available. The day was built on a rock solid performance from the back - Katie in goal and Georgia and Alice our Fortress Brighton. Our midfield of Lara, Grace and Imogen worked very hard indeed marshalling and pushing forward and rallying to help out on opposition excursions into our half. Gabby's turn of speed up front is developing into a useful threat and she was awarded with a great goal. Lara asserted her goal scoring credentials by bagging FIVE excellent well taken goals and she was awesome today. Imogen also grabbed a well deserved goal which was well taken after some great team pressure in the third game.
Well done everyone you were marvellous.
League Matches & Season Runner-Up: Apologies for not blogging sooner but we will append match reports below shortly. But suffice to say, well done and massive congratulation at securing a battling well deserved League Runners-Up spot a couple of week ago. It was a great final day and although the weather wasn't great, I'm sure you'll all agree that it didn't dampen our excitement at securing a 4-4 draw and receiving our League medals! Lets take this performance forward and be ready for springing into action in the new Season. Player of the Match . . . see match report . . . . soon . . . clue: she is blossoming into a great player !
End-of-Season Diary Dates: Please refer to updated blog entry below (28th Nov).

Match summary - Eastbourne Town v's Broad Oak & Horam: 29th Jan 2012. Score 5-1. Firstly, we must commend all our players for last Sunday’s match away at League winners Eastbourne Town. Your attitude was first rate and every player played with confidence and for the Team. You were brave and got stuck in against an opposition whose best player was their keeper! We took the lead and held it for most of the first half and showed great character to push on in the second. We were very proud of you and we hope you all enjoyed yourselves? The ref commented to us at the end of the game on your spirit and how you played with a smile throughout. Well done.
